Overview

About the Bali Highlights 5 Night 6 Day Tour Package

Bali is one of those rare destinations where you feel it before you understand it. The moment you step out of Ngurah Rai Airport into the warm Balinese air fragrant with frangipani, incense from a roadside temple offering, and the salt of the Indian Ocean, something shifts. This Indonesian island has been drawing travellers for decades, and yet it still feels like a discovery every single time. For Indian travellers in particular, Bali holds a unique resonance: a Hindu culture that is living and deeply woven into daily life, a landscape that rewards both the seeker and the adventurer, and an ease of travel that makes it one of the best first international destinations you can choose.

This 5 Night 6 Day Bali Highlights Tour Package is designed around the experiences that define a genuinely memorable Bali trip - not a checklist of monuments, but a thoughtfully curated sequence of sensations. You begin in Ubud, Bali's cultural heartland, with the legendary Bali Swing - an experience that has become one of the island's most photographed and genuinely thrilling activities, set against a backdrop of jungle and river valley. You then move to Kuta for the southern Bali experience, which includes an adrenaline-charged morning at Tanjung Benoa Beach, Bali's water sports capital - followed by a full day that begins at Trans Studio Bali and culminates at the twin temples that have defined Bali's visual identity for generations: Tanah Lot at the sea's edge, and Uluwatu high on the cliffs at sunset, where the ancient Kecak Fire Dance plays out against the backdrop of the Indian Ocean.

TriptoOcean handles every element: private airport pickup, comfortable hotel accommodation in both Ubud and Kuta, daily breakfast, and all activities on a fully private basis - your group, your pace, no strangers sharing your vehicle or your guide's attention. Whether this is your first international trip, a honeymoon, a family holiday, or a group celebration, this is the Bali package that delivers the island's real character in five thoughtfully structured nights.

Itinerary of Bali Tour Package - 5 Nights 6 Days | Highlights of Bali

Arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), Bali. A TripToOcean representative will be waiting in the arrivals hall with a name board and will assist with your bags and transfer you by private AC vehicle to your hotel in Ubud - approximately 1.5 hours from the airport depending on traffic.

Check in to your hotel and take the rest of the day to settle in, rest, and absorb your surroundings. Ubud is a town unlike any other - set among rice paddies and river valleys, it is Bali's artistic and spiritual centre. Wander the main street in the evening, browse the handicraft and textile stalls, and find a restaurant table overlooking the valley. The food scene here is exceptional, with strong options for both Indian vegetarian and international cuisine.

Your TripToOcean representative will brief you on the activities planned for the following days.

Overnight: Hotel in Ubud | Meals: No meals on arrival day (self-arranged)

After breakfast at the hotel, your private driver picks you up for the morning's headline experience: the Bali Swing.

The Bali Swing - What to Expect

The Bali Swing is, at this point, one of the most iconic activities on the island and it has earned that status. Set in the lush jungle above a deep river valley near Ubud, the swing park offers a genuinely thrilling and visually spectacular experience. Multiple swings at varying heights (up to 78 metres) soar out over the jungle canopy, palm tree ridgelines, and the valley far below. The sensation is a precise blend of adrenaline and beauty, the kind that produces photographs that do not look real until you are in them.

The park also features a variety of Instagram-worthy nest seating areas - suspended bird nests, heart-shaped platforms, and bamboo structures set against panoramic jungle views, where the on-site team helps you compose shots that most people come to Bali specifically to take. A professional swing guide accompanies you through the safety equipment and procedure, and the staff are experienced at capturing your best moments on your own device.

The afternoon is free to explore Ubud at your own pace. Options include the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary (home to over 700 long-tailed macaques in a temple-filled forest), the Tegallalang Rice Terraces (best photographed between 2-4 PM when the light is ideal), Ubud Palace and the local art market, or simply a long lunch and a traditional Balinese massage.

Overnight: Hotel in Ubud | Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast, your private driver transfers you from your Ubud hotel to your hotel in Kuta, the journey takes approximately 1.5 hours. Check in and take the afternoon to explore Kuta and the surrounding area at leisure.

Kuta's main beach is a long stretch of golden sand with strong surf and a lively beachside atmosphere which is ideal for a late afternoon walk. The area is also home to Bali's most accessible shopping: Beachwalk Mall, Discovery Shopping Mall, and the maze of lanes behind the beach offer everything from branded international stores to Balinese handicrafts and batik clothing at market prices. The evenings here are vibrant, with a strong restaurant scene covering Indian, Indonesian, Japanese, and international cuisines.

Overnight: Hotel in Kuta | Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast, your driver transfers you to Tanjung Benoa Beach, Bali's undisputed water sports hub, located in the Nusa Dua peninsula about 20 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from Kuta. The beach sits in a protected shallow bay, which creates ideal conditions for water sports: calm enough for beginners, well-equipped with safety gear and certified instructors across every operator.

What Happens at Tanjung Benoa

The package includes the Banana Boat ride as the core water sports activity. A safety briefing is given before every ride, and life jackets are provided. The banana boat is an inflatable banana-shaped vessel pulled at speed by a speedboat across the bay - a classic group activity that produces laughter, screaming, and usually at least one spectacular collective wipe-out into the warm water. It's suitable for all ages from about 8 upwards and requires no swimming experience.

Beyond the Banana Boat, Tanjung Benoa offers a wide menu of additional activities that can be added at your own expense on the day: Parasailing (soaring 20-30 metres above the bay strapped to a parachute towed by a speedboat), Jet Ski (solo or tandem), Donut Boat (a circular inflatable tube that spins as it's towed), Flying Fish, and the Seawalker (an underwater helmet walk that allows even non-swimmers to experience the sea floor, a favourite with families). Your TriptoOcean representative will give you current on-site pricing for all additional activities before your visit so there are no surprises.

The afternoon is free for rest, Kuta Beach, or shopping.

Overnight: Hotel in Kuta | Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast, your private driver picks you up for the longest and most diverse day of the itinerary, combining Bali's most popular entertainment complex, its most photographed temple, and its most spectacular cultural performance into one exceptional day.

Trans Studio Bali

The morning is spent at Trans Studio Bali, one of Bali's largest indoor theme parks and entertainment complexes, located near Kuta. The park offers a range of rides, attractions, and live shows suitable for all ages, making it a particularly strong day for families and groups who want a structured entertainment experience before the more contemplative temple visits in the afternoon. Entrance fees are not included in the package and are payable directly at the venue.

Tanah Lot Temple

In the afternoon, your driver proceeds to Tanah Lot - perhaps the single most photographed image in all of Bali. Locally known as Pura Tanah Lot, this ancient sea temple stands on a dramatic volcanic rock just offshore on the west coast of Bali, completely surrounded by the Indian Ocean during high tide. Tanah Lot translates loosely as "land in the sea" and the name captures it precisely: a centuries-old temple complex perched on a lava rock with waves breaking around its base, framed at sunset by a sky that Bali seems to reserve for exactly this moment.

The temple is one of Bali's seven sacred sea temples, each positioned to be within sight of the next, collectively believed to protect the island from malevolent spirits. It has been a site of active Hindu worship since the 16th century. Non-Hindus cannot enter the inner temple itself, but the entire surrounding complex - the lower platforms, the ocean-facing viewpoints, the smaller Batu Bolong Temple nearby with its natural rock arch - is open and freely explorable. Allow 1.5-2 hours here, and try to time your arrival to catch the light turning gold in the late afternoon.

Uluwatu Temple & Kecak Fire Dance

From Tanah Lot, your driver continues to Uluwatu - situated on the southern tip of Bali's Bukit Peninsula, where a narrow rocky promontory juts out into the Indian Ocean with cliffs dropping approximately 70 metres straight down into the sea on three sides. Pura Luhur Uluwatu is one of Bali's six directional temples - the Sad Khayangan - and its position here, at the very edge of the island, makes it feel like a place where the island ends and something much larger begins.

The temple was built in the 11th century and expanded significantly in the 16th. The grounds are inhabited by a large troupe of Balinese long-tailed macaques - beautiful and mischievous in equal measure. Keep your sunglasses, hats, and any shiny objects secured; the monkeys here have a well-documented tendency to take them. Your guide will advise on exactly what to keep protected.

As the sun begins to set over the Indian Ocean, proceed to the open-air clifftop amphitheatre adjacent to the temple for the Kecak Fire Dance performance. The Kecak is one of the most arresting performances in Southeast Asia: approximately 70-100 male dancers seated in concentric circles chant the rhythmic "cak-cak-cak" in lieu of a traditional gamelan orchestra - a human sound machine of extraordinary power - while the story of the Ramayana plays out in the centre of the ring, culminating in a dramatic fire sequence at the precise moment the sun drops below the horizon over the sea. The performance runs for approximately one hour and is unlike anything you will have experienced before.

After the performance, your driver returns you to your hotel in Kuta.

Overnight: Hotel in Kuta | Meals: Breakfast

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Depending on your flight time, use the morning to revisit Kuta Beach for a final walk, pick up last-minute souvenirs - Balinese batik textiles, silver jewellery, carved wooden figurines, Kopi Luwak coffee, and local spice blends make excellent gifts - or simply sit on the hotel terrace and savour your last few hours on the island.

At the appropriate time, your TriptoOcean representative will transfer you by private AC vehicle to Ngurah Rai International Airport for your onward flight. End of services.

How to Reach Bali from India

By Air: Bali is served by Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), located 13 km from Kuta and approximately 60 km from Ubud. Direct flights from India to Bali currently operate from Delhi (Vistara/Air India, approx. 8 hours), Mumbai (IndiGo, approx. 7-8 hours), and Bangalore (IndiGo, approx. 7 hours). From other Indian cities, connections are available via Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, or Colombo. Round-trip airfare typically ranges from ₹18,000-₹32,000 per person depending on departure city and season.

Best Time to Fly: The dry season (May-October) is the optimal window, with April, September, and October offering the best combination of clear weather and moderate pricing. December and January are peak festive season with premium airfare and hotel rates. June-August is popular but expect higher prices at peak.

Airport Transfer: Your TriptoOcean representative will meet you at the arrivals exit with a name board and transfer you directly to your hotel in a private AC vehicle. No arrangement is needed on your end.

Bali Visa & Entry Guide for Indian Travellers

Option 1 - Visa on Arrival at Bali Airport (VoA): Available at a dedicated counter before the main immigration line at Ngurah Rai Airport. Present your passport, pay IDR 500,000 by card or cash, and receive your stamp. During peak season (December, June-August), queues can take 45-90 minutes. If travelling with elderly family members or young children, the e-VOA option is strongly recommended.

Option 2 - e-VOA (Recommended): Apply on the official Indonesian immigration website at least 7-14 days before travel. Same cost (IDR 500,000), same 30-day validity, but you bypass the VoA queue entirely and proceed directly to e-Gate immigration. Apply at molina.imigrasi.go.id - this is a free service directly on the Indonesian government portal. Ignore third-party websites that charge a service fee for this application.

Documents Required: Valid Indian passport with at least 6 months of validity from your arrival date + minimum 2 blank pages for visa stamp. Confirmed return flight ticket. Hotel booking confirmation. Proof of sufficient funds (USD 2,000 equivalent recommended). All international tourists must also complete the free digital All Indonesia Arrival Card (replacing the old paper TM6 card since October 2025) - available online before departure.

Bali Tourist Levy (Mandatory, Not Included): All international tourists must pay IDR 150,000 (= ₹850) via the official Love Bali portal (lovebali.baliprov.go.id). This is separate from the visa fee. Pay online before arrival and download your QR code. This fee supports heritage site maintenance and tourism infrastructure across Bali.

What Indian Travellers Must NOT Do: Carry an expired passport, or a passport with less than 6 months' validity. Travel on Aadhaar alone - a valid passport is mandatory. Overstay the visa (fines of IDR 1,000,000 per day apply). Use agent websites charging extra for the free e-VOA application.

FAQs

Yes. Indian passport holders require a Visa on Arrival (VoA) to enter Indonesia, including Bali. The visa costs IDR 500,000 (approximately ₹3,000) and allows a 30-day stay, extendable once for another 30 days. You can either pay at the dedicated counter at Bali Airport on arrival, or apply for the e-VOA (electronic Visa on Arrival) online via the official Indonesian immigration website before travel. We strongly recommend the e-VOA to skip airport queues, particularly during peak season. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date and have at least 2 blank pages.

The Bali Tourist Levy (IDR 150,000, approximately ₹850 per person) is a mandatory fee introduced by the Bali provincial government for all international tourists. It is separate from the visa fee. You must pay it online via the official Love Bali portal at lovebali.baliprov.go.id before your arrival in Bali. After payment, you receive a QR code - save it on your phone as it may be checked at immigration or accommodation check-in. This levy funds the preservation of Bali's heritage sites and tourism infrastructure.

The Bali Swing is safe when operated by reputable providers with proper safety harnesses, certified guides, and maintained equipment - which is the standard at all the major Ubud swing parks included in our package itinerary. Participants are secured with a full harness before each swing, the guide provides a thorough safety briefing, and staff are present at each swing to assist. The experience is genuinely thrilling - swings reach heights of 20-78 metres depending on which you choose - but entirely safe for anyone in reasonable health. The activity is not recommended for those with heart conditions, high blood pressure, or severe motion sickness. Weight limit per swing is typically 200 kg (single or tandem combined).

Yes. Entrance fees are included in the package price. Key fees to budget for: Tanah Lot Temple (IDR 75,000 adults), Uluwatu Temple + Kecak Dance (approximately IDR 150,000-200,000 per person), Trans Studio Bali (varies by package, typically IDR 200,000-500,000 per person), and the Bali Swing admission (approximately USD 20-35 per person depending on the provider and whether lunch is included). Your TriptoOcean representative will provide the tickets at the venue when your booking is finalised.

Tanjung Benoa is Bali's most comprehensive water sports hub, with a wide menu of activities available at your own expense: Parasailing (flying 20-30m above the bay on a parachute towed by speedboat), Jet Ski (solo or tandem, available in 15-minute sessions), Donut Boat (circular inflatable tube at speed), Flying Fish, Glass-Bottom Boat, Turtle Island visit, Snorkeling, and Seawalker (an underwater helmet walk that allows non-swimmers to walk on the seafloor - minimum age 12, maximum age 65). Our representative will brief you on current pricing for all activities before your visit. Costs are per activity per person and are paid directly to the water sports operators on-site. Booking online ahead of time can secure better rates compared to walk-in prices.

The Kecak Dance is a uniquely Balinese performance in which a chorus of 70-100 male dancers seated in concentric circles chant the rhythmic "cak-cak-cak" sound - replacing the traditional gamelan orchestra entirely with human voice. Against this extraordinary sonic backdrop, the dancers act out scenes from the Hindu epic Ramayana, culminating in a dramatic fire-based finale. The performance runs for approximately one hour. Uluwatu is the best venue because the open-air clifftop theatre overlooks the Indian Ocean directly to the west, and the show is timed precisely so that the sun sets over the water during the performance - giving you the Kecak dance silhouetted against a fiery Balinese sunset as the backdrop. It is, for many travellers, the single most memorable moment of their Bali trip.

The dry season - May to October - is the best overall window. Within this window, April, September, and October offer the optimal combination of excellent weather, manageable crowds, and more moderate pricing compared to peak months. July and August are school holiday months and see the heaviest international tourist traffic with corresponding price premiums. November through March is the wet season - afternoon showers are common but the island remains beautiful, lush, and fully operational, with significantly lower prices at hotels and on flights. The only absolute exception is Nyepi (Balinese Day of Silence, typically in March) when the entire island - including Ngurah Rai Airport - shuts down for 24 hours. Avoid arrival or departure dates on Nyepi itself.

Yes. Vegetarian food is widely available in Bali, particularly in Ubud where plant-based and organic cafes are deeply embedded in the restaurant culture. Indian restaurants with full vegetarian menus are also found in Kuta, Seminyak, and the Kuta Beach area. Ubud's main street alone has dozens of restaurants catering to vegetarian travellers with everything from dal and roti to Balinese vegetable curries, smoothie bowls, and grain-based dishes. For Jain travellers, most Indian restaurants in Ubud and Kuta can accommodate Jain meal requirements with advance notice - let your TriptoOcean representative know at booking so we can advise on suitable restaurants and confirm your hotel's ability to accommodate Jain dietary needs at breakfast.
